Newbie Question PSU Connecting the GTX 760SC to Seaconic S12

Post by loufelix »

Dear forum members,
I´m a Mac user since 20 years, and assembled my first PC yesterday ! So please me forgive me in case the questions are too stupid ... I´m afraid I could damage the GTX 760SC card, so here are my questions :

1. How do I connect the single-sleeved MOLEX-to-6-pin PCIe and MOLEX-to-8-pin PCIe adapters with a Seasonic S12II-520 PSU ?
2. Is it necessary to use both adapters ?
3. Could I damage the 760 card in case I confuse the PSU cables with each other ?

I watched a lot of unboxing videos of the 760 card, but this detail was never explained .

Many thanks for your help !
Regards,
Idris

Use the 6-pin and 8-pin wires from the power supply and plug em in. I see that power supply does indeed have both, so you should be good to go!

Congrats on first build!!! :supz:
