Looking to upgrade GPU

Post by Imperiex »

Currently using 2 AMD Radeon HD 6970's. One from XFX and the other from Sapphire. They perform ok but get really loud when I am gaming (they are reference designs so no third party coolers :( ) so would love to replace them with either a similar performing or better current generation gpu. Also I am really liking the way NVIDIA drivers look. Especially the GeForce experience which greatly improved performance on my laptop. I currently game on a 1680x1050 monitor but will upgrade soon to 1920x1080. I play games such as Battlefield 3 (Soon to be 4), Starcraft II, Diablo III, League of Legends. Pretty much almost everything across a variety of genres :). What you guys think?

Here's a good place to start.

I used a HD 6990 as a reference since I can't pick a card and then choose Crossfire. But in all reality a HD 6990 is two HD 6970s on one PCB.
