VRM temps for GTX 670?

I just wanted to find out the VRM temps on my newly purchased MSI GTX 670 OC, so I have downloaded HWinfo but it shows no VRM temps :(
I did some search on google and I found someone asking a similar question on another forum. This was the answer he has got:
On some nVidia GPUs it seems only the driver installing process enables the GPU VRM sensors, so if you install a new driver, you might see them in HWiNFO.
Unfortunately there's no solution how to make them visible always, since nVidia won't tell how to enable them, nor doesn't leave them visible all the time.
Just checking if anybody has any other thought on this and if there is any way to enable VRM temps in the NVidia drivers, without having to reinstall drivers all the time (if the above is true). Anybody?

have you tried using gpu-z to view the vrm temps?

I don't believe GPU-Z shows those readings. I'm not seeing them anyway

I did and there is nothing there either. Since the post, I did try to reinstall grtaphics drivers and it did nothing. Since I'm still convinced, that the VRM is way too hot, I searched for a cooling solution and found it. It seems the best option is to install a VRM/mosfet liquid cooler to my existing setup:

I took the exact measurements and this is what matches perfectly. It would be still nice to know what the temps are now, before I connect this to the loop :-k

It will cost me $34 + S/H and is well worth for the peace of mind :)

I'm pretty certain my vrms get very hot under load. the pcb right under the vrms with a temp sensors on gets to 63c so can't imagine how hot the vrms are lol

Mine are so hot, I can't touch them. Once I did and got burned. After I've removed the default cooler and installed the universal GPU water block, the GPU's temps never go above 40C but the VRM's temps went sky-high because the cooling fan is not moving air through the VRM's cooling fins (the default cooler had a shroud with a fan). So now I have to solve this by changing the VRM cooling fins to a VRM/Mosfet waterblock. Can't wait to have it done and THAN OC the crap out of the card :finga:
