So as the title says I'm looking for an aftermarket cooler for my zotac gtx 570 reference. however looking for the cheapest solution for a quick temp drop. currently my temps at 100% peak at 72c full fan speed ambient 21c.

why worry about temps when they are just 72C at load?

No real benefit to be honest unless you are going for noise!

this cards stock cooler hits 5000rpm at full speed and is hell noisey. 42db from 1 metre away  so yes the noise could do with being reduced :)

for the price to performance ratio the gelid icy vision rev 2 seems to be the one I'm getting unless anyone else has another gem up their sleeves?

so I went and got me the gelid icy vision rev 2. It was a pain to install as it is so time consuming but I did it and my temps are amazing:

GTX 570 Zotac Cooler
IDLE: 31c
LOAD: 72c

Gelid Icy Vision Rev 2
IDLE: 26c
LOAD: 56c

This was a lot cooler than I was expecting and so I went ahead and clocked this beauty to 870/2100 @ 1.067v

well as I have posted here http://forums.legitreviews.com/about45922.html I got me gtx 580 3gb. I know it's not much more powerful than my current card but for the price I couldn't say no :)
