Does anyone here mine Cryptocurrency with nvidia cards

Post by smack323 »

I recently found that mining crypto I can recoup the cost of a Nvidia card in about 3-4 months. I've since purchased 2 GTX1080 cards and am bringing in about $14/day after electric is paid. Just curious if anyone else is and what luck have you had.

Wish crypto miners would stop using video cards. Cost of cards are flat !@#$% ridiculous.

Combined with the cost of RAM lately... ](*,)

I agree but they seem to be the fastest way for people to mine :( I won't spend the money on video cards to mine just because I dont want to end up getting stuck with thousands of dollars of hardware and the mining boom dies....probably won't but it is an awful lot of money for hardware and electricity every month.

I have looked into it and yes mining is expensive. while it can be beneficial, the gains are just not worth the time and effort. Besides that poor gpu is under a lot of stress 24/7 as that is what you would need to do in order to make anything worth while. good luck if your going down that route. The hardware alone can be expensive and factor in the loss of damaged hardware that could end up making it worthless.
