I have an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 wireless network adapter and an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000. Any clue as to which is better?
Both are 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless network adapters.
Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 Features:
Up to 300 Mbps of bandwith results in up to 5X faster bandwidth compared to older 802.11a/b/g technology
Enables connectivity to 2.4 GHz frequency for access to older 802.11b/g networks
Enables connectivity to 5.0 GHz frequency for higher speeds and greater network capacity
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 Features:
Up to 300 Mbps 802.11n receive data rates compared to 54 Mbps for 802.11a/b/g solutions
I'm guessing between the two that the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 is better since it is a dual band card?
I just did an e-bay check and the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 is under $20, while the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 is ~$50... So, if price is everything then the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200 wireless card is better.
Which Intel WiFi Card is Better? Advanced 6200N or 1000?
Re: Which Intel WiFi Card is Better? Advanced 6200N or 1000?
I would pick the dual band.

As long as its not going in a netbook the 6200, also the 1000 is b/g/n (no a) and does not support AMT 6.0
