trying to build a laptop

to the show at quakecon and really wanted to know more. anyways, have been looking online for the past couple of days and not really finding that much. Asus has a couple boards, but nothing that interest me. i am looking to get a ATI chipset ( something over a 9700 ) with DDR2 memory and all that jazz, screen .. smaller don't really matter, and a pentium 4 system. can't seem to find any that really fit that description tho.

also, anyone know any canadian ( toronto ) suppliers that are local and i can get some stuff through? i know a couple places that will order anything for me, even from china, but that gets a bit expensive sometimes.

any suggestions on a whitebox to start with?

Are you looking for Pentium 4 or Pentium M? From what I know, if you go for a 4, you're pretty much looking at desktop replacements, and personally, I don't think those things count as laptops.

If you can help narrow down the screen size I will be able to list the brands and models of some widely available notebooks for you.

screen size = 15 inch should be fine
