the drive is no good, take a look at seagate, 5 year warranty and very good power/performance also that price is way wrong on that drive. 60gb from seagate is ~$100
also if you get the 1.7 400fsb or 1.6 400fsb you can overclock it by just fliping the dip switches from 400 to 533 fsb. that would give you either 2.13 or 2.26ghz for alot less $$

I'm looking for a new HD as we speak, but I'm finding the same price range for anything that is 7200RPM. As for the processer, I've never overclocked anything, will this lead to a overheating issue?

on the motherboard of the Laptop there are two little dip switches that control the fsb setting, just like in the good old days of overclocking by changing the setting you can go between 400fsb and 533fbs. they are nothing more than very small lightswitches.
