My friend got an IBM tablet laptop with a swivel screen and everything, prettymuch the whole works. But his dad works for IBM so I think that had something to do with it........
But anyway, he hasn't had anything bad to say about it. Besides this one example, I really don't know much else though, sorry.

yeah i might also be in the market for a tablet. going through college math courses and physics its is very tough to wrtite down the formulas and such with just a basic laptop. having something so i can type as well as write to take notes would be sweet. My Axim x50v isnt big enough to do this on. i can type faster than i can write so it would make it a little easier when taking notes. anything cheap and ~4lbs would deff. be an eye opener.
I did take a quick glance at pricewatch.com and fugitsu (sp) had one for i think 1100.

Well, I found a good one myself, and it looks like something I'd like if I were wanting tablet and notebook functionality: the Fujitsu T4000D series. It appears pretty durable and it has good computing power too.
