Athlon64 Laptop from Voodoo PC

Post by kpothuwila »

Voodoo PC has released an A64 laptop call Voodoo Envy M:855, it will set you back ~$US3300 & up

Here are the specs
A64 3000+/3200+
M9600 Pro 64MB
15? SXGA+
40GB 5400rpm Hitachi
512MB Low latency memory chip(doesn't say DDR266 or DDR333)
2x DVD burner
Modem, LAN, WiFi 802.11b/g

The surprising thing is that, they claim it has 3+ hours battery life(office apps). Pretty good for a such a powerfull DTR. Or could it be marketting?
Have to wait for a review.

omg...I've been looking for a laptop recently for travel reasons and that looks sweet... I like how it's got the ATI Mobility 9600 Graphics stuffed in there. Needs some WiFi!

Wonder when A64 laptops with M9600 from other brands arrive here in AUS.

This thing will do more than your average work, M9600 Pro will certainly let you play HL-2 better than FX5650 Go
