$500 after rebates.

I am hoping i did ok with a low end laptop. I know it wont play Oblivion, but I think it should do the internet, play movies, and the normal stuff just fine. It will be REAL handy when I have to get more surgerys done!!

Now we just have to pay it off of the credit card :( argh - all that interest..lol

Let me know if you think I did OK, or if I should return it. I did NOT get an extended warranty since the damn thing was around $350 - $500 laptop, $350 warranty - NOT..lol

Mike

Might throw that old Gateway Solo 1150 on ebay now..:)

Sweet, thanx!

It is not my main rig, but my main rig is only an AMD Barton 3000+

kinda wierd when the laptop shows 1.99ghz and my main rig shows 2.09ghz..and i paid a TON more for this when i did it - heheh

Mike

I WILL be getting the E6300 for the main system when the INtel Retail Edge program lets my wife order in October!!!

it looks like a solid system and with a memory upgrade and/or a faster hard drive will really wake that baby up.

I was thinking about bumping it to 1gb of memory, maybe around xmas, but I believe it has 2 256 mb chips instead of 1 512 :(

do the notebook HD's really make that much difference from say 4200rpm to 5400rpm? I might have to look into that also then.

Mike

Oh and I jsut saw this dvd burner will do dvd-ram..?? wonder why..lol I dont even know if you can buy the RAM discs anymore.
