Identifying my Mobile Processor

Post by vsmuthu »

I have a problem identifying my processor whether it is a 478 or 479 pin CPU-Z and PC Wizard doesn not give me the sSpec Id.

Intel site gives two sSpecs
SL6F6 - Intel® Pentium® M Processor 1.50 GHz - 479 pin - 0.13 micron
SL6F9 - Intel® Pentium® M Processor 1.50 GHz - 478 pin - 0.13 micron

PC Wizard Results
---------------------

Processor
-----------
Type : Intel Pentium M
Internal Specification : Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1500MHz
Model Number : 750 (estimated)
Codename : Banias

Technology : 0.13µ
CPU ID : 6.9.5
CPU IDEx : 6.9.5
Brand ID : 16
Microcode :

Chipset

Motherboard
---------------
Manufacturer : COMPAL
Product : 0860

I am looking to upgrade my processor to
Pentium M - 735, 1.70Ghz/2M/400 - SL7EP based on .90nm

I am not sure whether my i855PM chipset and my Compal 0860 motherboard will accept it

Any help is really appreciated.

Its 479, Banis can be either I believe

Banias are Laptop Only. Its a PIII Variant

The Chip you listed is a Dothan, it should work in an 855 mobo.
