I didnt know anything about computing un I was recently asked to press F8 during reboot.

The thing is I recently had to reinstall winxp sp2 becaause my HD burned.
I managed to take out & reinstall an old 80 gig:)
I updated SP2 to SP3 thru win updates.
Everything find but 2 problems.
1) No system sound or sound of any kind.
2) My NIDIA GeForce 6200 wont reinstall hashed or blue screen.
2a) F8 during reboot to "safe mode" and can then reistall thru win update. nothing:( am going round in circles.

Any ideas plz
