what is the best ghx card that can game smoothly @1080p, no need of aa or anything of that sort, with the best price/performance, ati perferred, but nvidia is also fine

The Radeon HD 4000 series has some great deals right now, but some of the entry level Radeon HD 5700 series cards should also be considered if you want better audio through HDMI and DX11 abilities.

if you go ahead and spend the extra money on an ati 5850 it would be money well spent.and like they told you,you would have dx11 and be able to put aa on.since i installed this card i havent had to turn any settings down at 1680 x 1050.

i would say a 5770 1GB is your best buy, solid performance around $160
