I'm thinking about Crossfiering up my twin frozr, but the only concern is that there seems to be no such card to be found lately!
Could I cf it with another card, like the twin 3 or some other cousin?

Shouldn't have a problem; you can Crossfire with other brands' cards too.
Keep in mind:
- If you have a 2GB 6950 and put a 1GB 6950 in, the 2GB card will disable 1/2 of its VRAM to match the 1GB card.
- You can only Crossfire cards from the Same family (but I think you already know that
