PS2 updates?
PS2 updates?
I have a PS2 70012 series and I was wondering about the USB ports it has. Can I find and download updates ( drivers etc. ) for this system?

Updates?
USB ports are used for accessories, dont think there would be any updates for them. If there are updates to the system, it would be when ou connect online, they would push them to you, at least I would think. I have a PS2 and never heard about getting updates.

Yea, I would agree with Knight. The only update that I know of is in the form of a PS3.
Don't ask me, cause I know nothing! I'm lost in this world of technology and am barely holding my head above water. Thank the Good Lord for LR, otherwise I would have drowned years ago.
Re: PS2 updates?
I thought that you could perhaps use the USB port for a wireless network card. I saw in the system config area that there is a driver version number listed and I wondered IF there was an updated driver that may change/improve its performance. The main reason for the question is that I am not able to get the screen to fit right on an LCD TV it cuts the top and bottom of the picture off....on transformers the game I can't see my health meter.

Re: PS2 updates?
go to the ps2 system setting, there is a place allow u to press "triangle" to config more > under screen set widescree 16:9 and under color set YCbCr and use compoment cable thx
Re: PS2 updates?
I agree with Allen - check your settings on the PS2, make sure it is set for widescreen AND set your game also! Some games do not work well in widescreen if they are not made for it, so you have to change back to 4:3 ratio and deal with the black bars on the right and left side of your tv.
