Star Ship Creation

Post by kappage »

Well I recently bought garys mod 10 on steam, made some awesome stuff then i got a Pheonix model pack and i thought, "Hey I got an idea (yes i got one) I'm going to make the StarShip Enterprise!". Now you dont need to be a trekky to know what that is...... I started building, First i made Nacelle's and then the Stands to add onto the nacelles and then after that i had made the main thingy that it all bolts down on, you could call it the 'back' of the ship. While doing this i was saving like a good person would, when i actually came to putting the rear end together i found that my computer just crashed even though my graphics where at minimum...... It is really annoying to know that i have made these parts and i cant actually put them together! So now the 6600GT bluescreens on every game with graphics set to max (by bluescreens i mean the blue screen of death telling out the information about the Nvidia crap....) since my GPU is relatively dead im going to get a 8600GT for christmas to myself!! which i am hoping will fix my problem. Next time i restart my PC to clear the ram i will go into it and try to get some screen shots. If anyone else has the game and both pheonix model packs i can send my saves to you and see if u can get futhur....

I beleive that this will look so cool when done its pretty big too, ill get the pics up ASAP.

Also does anyone else have problems with garys mod??

I know once you get a ton of items on the screen all at once they will slow the game down. I don't know about crashing though.

This looks like it could be a good project :P

Hopefully it will be as good as you are imagining it.

You would probably be better off making something that large and complex in Hammer in the Source SDK
