wii laser

My wii messed up. The little plastic tab that contacts the "worm" gear to move the laser messed up. I see lots of laser eyes for sale online for around $10. The pictures all look like they are missing the little plastic contact arm. What do you all think....is the plastic piece there and just not shown on the pic or do I have to find that little piece seperate??
