which do you think is better? this is all assuming we are using a 64 bit os that will be able to address all of it.

2x2 as you can add more later if ever needed and you'll have less stability issues as not all boards like running all four banks full.

2x2 once again... harder to get tight timings with all 4 memory banks occupied and as a result 2x2 will give you better timings and overclocking from my testing.
