Have you tried them in other boards? I noticed both of you use the Maximus. Maybe it has nothing to do with this, but you never know ;)

yeah many people have been havin problems with the maximus/ballistix, doesn't matter now, I got tired of the crap and just sold them

Thanks for notifying me that Crucial Ballistix + Maximus Formula is not a good combo.I've got 4x1gb DDR1000 Crucial Ballistix Tracer already bought for my new setup,and I was going to buy a motherboard.Guess my previous choice was not a good one.I'd prefer keeping this RAM instead of keeping a motherboard.

If you haven't already done so, try setting the Command Rate to "2T".
