Will this RAM work?

Post by smack323 »

I am going to build two new systems soon and found this 16BG kit for $120. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231441 It says that it is "Designed Specifically for Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs, H67 and P67 Platforms"

Will this still work with a AM3 systems? I was just going to split the kit and put 8GB in each new system?

Don't see why it wouldn't. The designed for Core i Series probably has something to do with the preconfigured XMP profiles.

I never had have an issue on using Core i5/i7 based memory in AMD based systems. Just keep in mind you may have to tweak things a bit.
