Is This Possible?

Post by hainer36 »

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820144151

2 of those sticks.....completely stable at 350mhz...thats DDR2-700!!!!!! on value ram!

timings are 5-5-5-15 (bad, i will admit) but only 1.9v

anyone else got this ram? anyone else have this kinda luck with it? i couldnt get it over DDR2-650 with my 650 (coincidence? :D) but now that i got my 930, this stuff is lettin loose

this may not be the best superpi time (had a better one with my 650 @ 4.45ghz, but this is just a start apparently)

http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/6020/700mhzpd5.png

and now ive pushed it to 726mhz and a 30.***sec superpi run

gonna go for more

this is the best 130 bucks i ever spent on ram

what are the chips on the memory and if you don't know please take a picture or the numbers off the chip. That's gotta be Micron of some sort.

I hit those speeds with my micron in my sig at those voltages.

And your FS thread has been locked

ok, well camera has no batteries in it....

so i wrote down what i saw on the chips
on top there was a lil symbol, looked like a backwards D with a little i inside it

and then
HYB18T512
800AF37
865 08209
0550

the little logo (after a quick google image search) is what i thought it was... Infineon

ive got some nice Infineon apparently, and ive never heard of Infineon Chips that OC this well (at least in DDR2)

EDIT:
have now concluded that this ram is some Infineon AF37, has anyone else had luck with it? or even touched it?

I'm floored Infineon can do that. Its gonna hit a wall soon where micron will keep going, but whatever, still damn impressive. I'm gonna test my micron later, to see if it can do that. It better or I'm gonna be ridiculously mad.

yeah 750MHz at 1.9V on value ram is pretty good...just be happy your kingston sticks didn't come with Elpida chipsets :) The Infineon HYB18T512 512M are not too shabby.

geez I might wanna look at the pics huh. Your running a divider and 5 timings. I can get 1:1 up to 430FSB and 4-4-4-8 Timings. Nevermind. Still, whats the highest you can go 1:1 and at the tightest timings

so a half day of testing (aint my fault, dad made me go for a surprise visit to costco) and i come to this:
1:1- does not like anything above 620DDR and even at that, needed 2.1v
4:5- can hit 770DDR and thats it, will boot but not nearly stable (havent tried anymore than 1.9v however)
timings: this stuff hates CAS4, wont boot at anyspeed on 4-*-*-*, best timings ive gotten are 5-4-4-10 and thats current

and i got a 770DDR/4.6GHZ superpi run done, new personal best

ill keep testing, but will take that as a 24/7 anyday
