Help Wiring this LCD for the best quality
You knew this was coming Way too many cables and inputs that I have no idea what they do.
Alright, so
LCD is Samsung LN32A300
Receiver is Sony DG520
Right now I only have 2 100W Panasonic Speakers connected to the reciever
Roku Box and Xbox360 are connected to the TVs HDMI Ports
DVD is connected via Composite
Audio From TV to Receiver is connected via Component
1st Pic is TV
2nd Pic is Reciever
3rd Pic is Verizon Fios DVR
4th Pic is Samsung DVD-RW
So how should I connect TV sound via digital Audio? Should I connect the HDMIs to the reciever and then to the TV?

Roku box and 360 to the hdmi ins on the receiver. hdmi out on the receiver to the tv. optical in to the receiver (to the sat in optical) from the dvr, composite (im assuming it doesnt have component?) in to the dvr in on the receiver (sat in video) digital coax from the dvd player (you can use any regular coax cable) to the dvd coax on the receiver, component in to the DVD in on the receiver from the DVD player.

Alright so let me make sure I have the right #s here
3 HDMI Cables (From Xbox and Roku to Receiver, From Receiver to TV)
1 Optical Audio (From DVR to Receiver)
1 Composite (From DVR to Receiver)
1 Coax (From DVD to Receiver)
1 Component (From DVD to Receiver)
No the DVR has no Component. Let me know if anything changes with the input of the DVD Picture.

Crap, just realized we have a problem. if you use the roku box via HDMI you lose your DVD inputs. what exactly is a roku box? does it need to be in HD?
EDIT: can you use the xbox as a dvd player?

Re: Help Wiring this LCD for the best quality
Roku is the netflix streaming box. I use it maybe once a month if that. Since the Netflix streaming ability on the 360 was released I haven't used because quality has dropped. I could just download the new the Xbox360 Dashboard and not use the Roku. So don't worry about that
I rather use the Dvd Player as the DVD player and not the Xbox. Rather lose ability to use the Roku

Where did you order your cables from? If you ordered from anywhere else but Monoprice or Blue Jeans I'm worried you may have way overpaid.

Re: Help Wiring this LCD for the best quality
or build a HTPC with blueray and store all my dvds on it, for less than it would cost me for a Ps3
