I really hope that you are keeping all your data (rips included) on a separate disk/partition so you can put the final release/different OS on without losing anything.

beleive it or not, i did something very similar earlier today, with apeice of printer paper folded a few times taped over teh flash

Off Windows 7 apparently, and I experienced part of this first hand, no blue-ray software first hand. Not spending a good chunk of change on PowerDVD 8 to not be able to use it

yes, ripping movies is a bit time consuming. I have the motivation of a 7 year old that destroys most everything he touches.

Did you test the movie files on another computer/OS? I've been hearing some really scary things about the DRM they'll be using in 7 and was wonder if it's been implemented in the beta yet...other than that, congrats on building and keeping (so far at least) your latest computer.
