Pictures will be added eventually...

Specs
Thermaltake LanBoxLite (will be replaced eventually)
ASUS P5KPL-CM
Intel E6700
ATI AIW HD
Plextor SATA DVD-RW
WD 3200AAJS 320GB & Seagate 1.5TB
Hauppauge Win TVR 1600 PCI

Uses
DVR Charter Cable
Watch and record local HD stations
MP3
DVD playback
Blu-Ray playback with Arcsoft Total Media Theater

Remote
Keyspan ER-V2 VMC RF remote

Notes
I see that Illuminati was planning to use TMT also. In case anyone is looking I've found the combination of My Movies along with TMT is great for playing BR rips from the hard drive via Vista Media Center. It's nice having only to use the remote!
I will likely be upgrading the CPU soon to a slightly higher clocked 45nm for power savings. Probably going to swap the 320GB out for something faster and quieter like a WD6400AAKS.

Specs:
PC
Generic Black Case
C2D E6750
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
4GB DDR2 800
9400 GT - HD5450 soon to be installed.
Hauppauge PVR-150 w/ remote

TV
Vizio 32" HDTV

Components
7 year old Kenwood 5.1 surround sound system I bought for my PS2. I don't think I've turned it on since my PS2 died some 6 years ago.

Uses:
To record TV so I don't have to pay $15 a month to Dish Network. Shuffle music, watch movies, show me the local weather for the next day at 2AM.

Remote:
Nothing special, the one that came with my Hauppauge PVR.

Special Notes:
I want to purchase an ATi card with a built-in HDMI port. With that purchase would next come a Blu-Ray drive. Other than that bring on the HD signal. I first built a HTPC several years ago and now I am so jaded that I can no longer watch live TV.

4-13-10: Updated video card, hard drive and TV.

The specs of my HTPC are in my sig; does everything I want it to do, but was a bit disappointed at the dismal gaming performance.. Couldn't even run warcraft 3 at 1280x760! Probably should have bought a board with GDDR3 integrated on the mobo.

I'll post pics soon, but they won't be pretty. It's a work in progress, since it's basically my old system that I'm converting to a HTPC. Still need to get a new case and a BR drive. Specs:

C2D E6600 ES (Xigmatek S1283)
8GB Mushkin DDR2 800
DFI BloodIron P35
EVGA 8800GT 512mb SuperClock
AverMedia AverTv G2
2 x 250GB Seagate HD in RAID 0
Rosewill wireless keyboard/mouse
Rosewill wireless N
Antec Sonata case
Enermax 400W PSU

I'll probably keep the E6600 OC around 3.4Ghz as that doesn't require additional voltage. The key will be (obviously) keeping the noise down without getting too much heat. I'll have to see how it sounds with just the cpu fan in there and how hot is gets to see if it needs a case fan or not. The PSU is pretty quiet, so hopefully that will be enough cooling. It's not fully together yet, still waiting on the tuner to get here from the 'egg. I'll get some pics up once it's finished.

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Wolfdale 2.8GHz -
ZOTAC NF610I-E-E LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce 7050 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
nMEDIAPC Black HTPC 5000B Micro ATX Media Center
windows XP

Main use is i have riped most of my DVD's to the HD and all my music. I also game on it.

Future upgrades
ATI 5750 - video card (ordered)
add another 2gb RAM
windows 7 (I have need to upgrade)

I have another 1TB HD I need to add as the one in it has about 100gb left on it. . I am debating if I want to add the HD to this system or take the 1TB that is currently in it out and replace it with a 200GB HD for OS and Games Then set up a server (I have the parts need to build it) with all my data on it. I have an external HD that i back up all my music on. The moves are easily replaced if anything happens.

My HTPC is used only for movies and music wich are stored on a 10 TB server running windows home server. Oh ya...and some car racing games with a steering wheel and pedals.

CPU Athon X2 5600
Motherboard Asus M2A-VM
HD 80 GIG WD....I think
Pioneer DVD RW
Ram 2 gigs Corsair
Video Card XFX 260 GTX Black Edition
Case Silverstone LC 16M
PSU Silverstone ST50EF
Remote WMC remote
OS Windows 7
Software of note MyMovies plugin for WMC

TV 46" Panasonic Plasma

Audio Yamaha 5.1 surround....bought used from a friend

Input MS cordless keyboard and mouse...Bad idea...will upgrade in the future

Network wired Gigalan

Things I like...the Case is fine, Mymovies plugin is a "must have". the MCE remote works...that is strange in the world of computers...something that just plain works. The video cards is a little to noisy for a HTPC...but it plays the car racing games I like just fine at 1080. the Gigalan is also a must...most HD content is rather large.

Things I disslike....A real cordless keyboard and mouse are also a must have for use as a computer...MS cordless stuff just don't cut it.

I'll see if I can remember the specs...too many other computer specs floating around in my head right now lol..

Case - Antec Veris Fusion Black
OS - Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit (Win7 64bit Ultra soon)
Mobo - Palit MicroATX N68S
Video Card - ATI HD2600 Pro 254mb
Memory - G-Skill DDR2 4GB
Storage - WD 1.5 TB Green Drive
Keyboard & Mouse - Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000

TV - LG 48" Plasma
Internet - Comcast

Right now, my primary use for this setup is for watching various things online via Hulu and other popular channels that offer online service. I also enjoy Netflix, music, photo storage and some games. Nice little setup that does what I need.

Thanks for looking!

(((NOTE)) I have upgraded the keyboard and mouse to the one posted above since this pic was taken. No more wires :D

Thanks! I should add that I have an LG Blu-Ray drive installed for watching movies (typically via the latest version of PowerDVD)

LG GGC-H20L? Wouldn't surprise me as that is/was a popular model! A friend of mine just sold his for $115 with his used HD-DVDs on ebay! So they still have most of their value!

That's the one! Still works great and I've watched 100's of Blu-Ray's on it. Very solid performer :)

MOBO - Asus P7P55D Deluxe
MEMORY - Corsair Dominator 4gb (2x2) @ 1600 DDR3
VIDEO - Sapphire Radeon Vapor-X HD5750 1GB
Sound - HT Omega Striker 7.1
CPU - Intel i7-860 2.8GHz
CASE - Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced
OS - Win 7 64bit
Boot Drive - Intel X25-M 80 gb SSD

Sata 1 - boot drive
Sata 2 - 1.5 tb WD Caviar Green
Sata 3 - 1.5 tb WD Caviar Green
Sata 4 - 1 tb Seagate Barracuda 7200
Sata 5 - 1 tb Seagate Barracuda 7200
Sata 6 - 1 tb Seagate Barracuda 7200
Sata 7 - 1 tb Seagate Barracuda 7200
Sata 8 - DVD/RW - I forget the brand - something standard though
Sata 9 - LG Blu-Ray ROM

Living Room
TV - Samsung 52" LCD
Receiver/speakers - Onkyo receiver with 7.1 surround
Bedroom
TV - Toshiba 40" LCD
Receiver/speakers - Harmon Kardon with 5.1 surround

Contol
2x Logitech Harmony 880
2x Gyration mouse/remote and 2.4ghz keyboard

The computer is in the office with call cables running through the walls. I used usb extension cables to get the IR receivers to both rooms. Living room is HDMI and optical, bedroom is a DVI to HDMI cable and digital coax. Office has a regular 20" monitor. Configured as clone view, not extended. Can only use one at a time. The gyration remotes are a recent addition and I would recommend them to everyone. Custom programmed logitech remotes are great, but limited for PC control. I was looking at the logitech dinovo mini, but I didn't really like the touchpad. I had the original gyration remote for years before the battery finally died (wouldn't hold charge). The remotes are great, full WMC support, can even be your all-in-one remote, but I won't give up my logitech harmony, it controls my air conditioner too. This set-up was extremely expensive - the computer itself is overkill for an HTPC, but it's also used for general use. Let me know what you think.

Pics of the setup or it doesn't exist. I'm kidding, but I would like to see how you have this setup. Seems like you are heavily invested in this HTPC.
