Media streaming

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with devices like a Roku Streaming Player. I want to be able to take advantage of my Amazon VOD I get with my prime account but currently my PS3doesnt have a way to use this service. I tried PlayON but it had issues working on the PS3.
What I am looking for is a device that can connect to Amazon VOD (like Roku) but also stream movies from my home server. Currently the cinavia protection blocks some of my blu-ray rips from playing on my PS3 - defeats the purpose if I have to go grab the disk to play it.
and it should be as close or under $100 as possible.. I want to avoid a full blown HTPC.
