CONNECTING TO THE SERVER FOR L4D

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTING TO THE SERVER FOR L4D (note this is for the LR server only):

1. Make sure your Steam account is set up
2. Start up the game and go to the options menu
3. Change "Developer Console" to ENABLE (you only need to do this the first time) & save
4. Hit the "~" key (above the tab) and it should bring up the console window.
5. Type the following: connect 66.102.113.100:27015
6. Wait for a few seconds and it should connect you and start the game.


Some notes on multiplayer:
1. Max allowed 8 players (AFAIK)
2. You will be one of the 4 "survivors" with guns etc OR
3. You will be one of the 4 zombies
4. When you are a zombie, you cannot spawn near or within sight of the survivors
5. Each zombie has different skills and it will tell you how to activate them.

Has there been an sv_search_key added to the server yet so we can connect from the lobby? Also, it seems like the only time anyone is on the server is when someone deliberately uses the "connect 66.102.113.100:27015" command, other than that it's always empty and I hardly ever play on the server because it's always locked to Dead Air on normal. If the server was linked to the LR steam group or even if it just had a sv_search_key, I bet it would get a lot more playtime simply because we would have a choice of which map to play.

Add it to the steam group. It's the best way of doing this.

Didn't you mention it had been passworded Kyle (or has that been resolved now)?

Yeah I forgot about that, IDK if it still is but for awhile it would prompt for a pw whenever I used "connect"...

I have yet to get into the server. Reports full every time I try to join.
