ASUS M3A MOSFETS

Post by JBG84 »

I'm considering adding some cooling to the MOSFETS in the form of VGA RAM heatsinks on my ASUS M3A motherboard. The thing is though, I don't really know where they are as I haven't done that sort of thing before

Enclosed is a picture of my best guess. I've drawn arrorws in green to point.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks !

(not sure how big the picture will come out so you may have to download it and zoom in)

yup go with your second choice ;)

just add some small heat sinks on those with some thermal tape and you'll be good to go.

Vizo Technology has some small heat sinks - http://www.vizo.com.tw/front/product/ge ... ail/20/3/1
MicroCool IT also has some great ones - http://www.microcool.it/english/Chipsinkprod.html

Actually, we reviewed the MicroCool ones here on Legit Reviews a number of years ago - http://www.legitreviews.com/article/123/1/
