AMD ATX Chipset and Motherboard of Choice

Post by dicecca112 »

Its been a while since I've used AMD, specifically 6yrs. So I'm a little behind. I need 1 16x, 1 8x or 4x Slot (PCI-E) and a PCI slot. Lets keep it cheaper, say 100-150ish. Using a 4850e, no overclocking, no SLI.

If you get a 790FX chipset make sure it has the 750 southbridge like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813186149

All the 790GX have the updated southbriges.

Good choice. Which Memory modules are you using ? Are you going to change your Processor as well ?
I am using a AMD MotherBoard its 690G chipset. I am sure that you know the features. Its under 100$ now. Maybe you could see the specs again.
