In the beginning there was Asus and not wanting to skimp on component quality they stayed Asus
Then there was Asrock the spin-off same board design as asus just cheaper quality components onboard

but over the years Asrock has become a major brand name in mobo manufacturing they now compete really well with most top brands in component quality and performance usually at reasonable prices the only ones they don't yet compete with are the likes of Asus's top end mobos and like

Pretty much you can't go wrong with an Asrock mobo now a days good OC'ers plenty of options onboard like SATA III, USB 3, eSATA and the likes

Had many ASRock mobos, only killed one and that was my fault.

the last Asrock mobo I had was back in the socket 7 days and cost me $110 the equivalent Asus mobo was considerably more expensive but more n more I've been looking at their top tier AM3+ mobo
