DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D doesn't have sound

Post by 3721 »

Hello everyone, I am a new member.

Does anyone know, i have a DFI NF4 Ultra-D board, sometimes my speaks have sound, sometimes not, sometimes when i exits a game, like BF2 or NFS then just no sound. I tried to reinstall a new NVidia nForce audio codec interface, and the driver version is 6.14.465.0, date id 2005-07-26. Sometime after restart, it may have sound, but sometime still does not have sound.

What's the problem?

Thank you.

P.S.: I am using XP Pro, SP2

Are you using the karajan sound module that came with the board or a third party sound card (i.e. - soundblaster)?

Are you sure the karajan audio module is fully installed and not loose? Are you also sure that your speakers are not malfunctioning?

First thing make sure it's plugged in correctly, not misaligned, or one end inserted farther than the other. Check and see if a Bios option has to be enabled to use the card. Check in control panel to make sure windows sees the card. If windows is seeing the card right click it and uninstall it and restart the machine then reinstall the drivers.
