ASUS A7V333

Post by stopthekilling77 »

okay folks i know you might have seen my uber post on the new Nvidia/intel build, but i just found out my dad bought me an ASUS A7V333 board a few years ago as a christmas present (and promptly put it to use on the family PC  ) so we're looking to make a new pc, but we've got that part under control for now.

any of you got the specs on this board?

i'm looking to use it as my first experimental board. OCing, the whole deal. maybe even get one of them newfangled heatsinks that looks like its from Alien.

anyhow i've got a manual downloading but has anyone else used this board for OCing? i know that its an AMD XP in there, so whats the max supported processor, etc... looking to make this a fun build :drinkers:

well depends on the fsb support on the board the bartons will be the top end of the athlon xp's , the mps were usualy paired in twos but can be run single and oc better. I've got a 2200+ i'd say shoot for a 2700-3200(highest I think that or 3400). Some oc alright some really blow when it comes to it so just read some athlon xp overclocking reviews online.
