D975XBX2 and 2 TB hard drives???

Post by WilburNJ »

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is there any reason that my roughly 2-year-old D975xbx2 mobo can't support 2 TB hard drives? I need to upgrade my system with larger drives and want to consider adding two 2 TB drives.

Thanks much,

Will

Nope 2TB drives should work fine on it. Your board does not support the latest features like SATA 6Gbps, so you might want to save money and not get the latest drives unless you plan on upgrading your motherboard in the next year or so.

This doesn't surprise me. The BX2 is one of the most problematic boards of all times. :finga:

I own 1 and support 3 more ...
Never had problems out of any of them.
