Intel DX58SO 'Smackover' Motherboard Has A Tight Fit

Post by gregerson »

I just bought a smackover and a Theralright 120 extreme with the bracket system that has a single bar going across the middle. It is a very tight fit near a number of components on the MB and I'm a little nervous. Any one had particular luck with on of the new mounts?

Thanks.

You're more likely to get an answer to your question if you post a new thread, not in an existing thread that was 3 years old. I've split it off from that thread and created a new one.

Welcome to the forums, and good lucky getting your question answered

Yup it fits. I've had it on the test system for LR, which has the DX58SO and an i7-920.

Don't have a shot of it with me, but here is a shot of the COGAGE True Spirit installed. It uses the same mounting system as the Thermalright 120/Ultra 120/TRUE/TRUE Black/TRUE Copper/Ultra 120 eXtreme 1366RT
