Biostar was showing off their TP67XE and TH67XE motherboards at Computex 2010 this past week and Legit Reviews was there to snap some pictures of them.
The higher-end sku is the P67 chipset "TP67XE" and it belongs to the TPower series. The TP67XE is a full sized ATX board that comes with 8-phase power, four dual-channel DDR3 memory slots, PCI-E x16 (PCI), PCI-E x1, PCI slot x2, five SATA 6Gbps interface, 8-channel audio and Gigabit Ethernet cards. The board also has a debug LED lights on the back with fiber-optic and coaxial S/PDIF, IEEE1394, eSATA 6Gbps, USB 3.0 interfaces and etc.
The other board in the Intel 67 series of chipsets that is offered by Biostar is based on the H67 chipset and is called the "TH67XE". This board also belongs to the TPower series, but is a Micro ATX small form factor board. Just because it is small doesn't mean it is packed with features as it has four dual-channel DDR3 memory slots, expansion slots for two PCI-E x16, 1 PCI-E x1 and one PCI, 5 SATA 6Gbps interface, 8-channel audio and Gigabit Ethernet card.
SATA 6Gbps interfaces are from the support of P67/H67 native chipset, but still relied on third-party USB 3.0 controller, while Sandy Bridge processor core within the integrated graphics (Video Card), the P67 motherboard generally will not provide output interface while H67 will.
There is no Debug LED on the back of the Biostar TH67XE, but it still supports Optical S/PDIF, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB 3.0 interfaces.
