Are these processors the same?

Post by jonathag »

Hello Everyone,

I've got a Dell 2900 server I am needing to upgrade the processors in to quad core from dual core.

I found this item on newegg..

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... -_-Product

and this item on Dell..

http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/prod ... sisid=8745

They both look the same to me but the mfgr item # does not match. Are they the same processor??

Thanks!

Ditto that .

Dell usually uses thier own part numbers for listings (but usually also list the factory Intel number somewhere in the specs " BX80574E5405A" ; but not this time)
