Intel Pentium Processor E5400 - 45nm Dual-Core LGA775 CPU w/ 2M Cache running at 2.70 GHz on an 800 MHz FSB
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E4700 - 65nm Dual-Core LGA775 CPU w/ 2M Cache running at 2.60 GHz on an 800 MHz FSB

PassMark - CPU Mark
E4700 scored 1,497
E5400 scored 1,803

If you have a system that can overclock I might go with the E4700, but if you don't then the E5400 would be faster out of the box and is running on the advanced 45nm process.
