Did he go a bit far? Did this really 'hurt' the PC industry?

There is a reason they are called fanbois. Intel owned up to the problem and took steps to fix it. In my book that is the right thing. I'm sure they notified all resellers of the issue, and if the resellers are still selling faulty products thats not Intels fault.

It is just another piece of yellow journalism. Of course they are still shipping defective chips, one of the articles posted on this site stated they were going to continue selling the chips in systems that are not impacted by the flaw. If you ask me, the piece hurts the author where it counts: Integrity.
