Core 2 Quad prices......

Postby GI-JOE » Mon Jan 16, 2012 2:11 pm

Trying to follow my upgrade plan (waiting for quads to fall in price so I could get one dirt cheap) and was pretty appalled to find prices for USED Core 2 Quads higher than some of the newest processors out? Whatever happened to the days that I got an AMD x 2 for roughly $60?

Anyone have a Core 2 quad they would like to get rid of for cheap? (Preferably one built on the 45nm process) :?

Core2 Quads are expensive because they are very powerful, even the 65nm C2Qs are still quite a bit more powerful than the Phenom II X4's clock for clock. i picked up my Q8400 for $130 shipped a few weeks ago and am very happy with it since it was very easy to overclock
