For whatever reason, I'm just not that jazzed about Ivy Bridge.

Yeah, I kinda agree. If I was in the market to upgrade to lga1155 from say 1366 or 775 then I would get an Ivy Bridge chip since it is the latest technology. Having a 2600K there really isn't any point to upgrade to Ivy Bridge. Working on a Sandy Bridge-E system for myself, but I already know it's going to be way overkill. I've never gone balls to the wall with a build so what the hell, only live once and if the wife finds out it will be short lived :shock:
