I've heard that the broadwell chips are worse at overclocking. Wouldn't that make the haswell-e a better buy?
Also there is a significant price difference, I can almost pay for the 16GB DDR4 from the difference.

I always prefer new architecture over the predecessor. However, you are right that Broadwell is not a good overclocker when compared to Haswell but if you have a custom liquid cooling setup then I would go with 6800k.
