We've been cranking ours for the better part of a week non-stop and so far no problems. Hopefully, you just got a bad set.

How did the Skullcandy handle the "limited lifetime" warranty on your FMJs?

Hmm...don't be so quick to give up, my friend. Again, these headsets come with a "limited life warranty" that I think you should check out before giving up. The FMJs have only been around for so long anyway. It wont hurt to put in an claim on their product support page.
