CoolIT Systems Pure CPU Cooler - Water Cooling For Under $100

The CoolIT PURE CPU cooler utilizes a pre-plumbed, factory sealed, closed loop radiator and pump module designed to effectively and efficiently dissipate heat from the CPU. Up until now CoolIT’s CPU coolers have harnessed the power of both liquid cooling and thermoelectrics, but that is not the case with Pure. What some thought could not be done CoolIT Systems has done, released a CPU only water cooler that costs under $100.

That is remarkable to have a good cooler priced at sub-$100 dollars.

This will become a popular unit in a very short time.

Of all places why is Amazon selling it vs. NewEgg and the other tech sites? That is an odd one.

When high end air cooling (that is cheaper) can beat this, then you may as well go with the air.

Wonder how easy it would be to mount it somewhere (else) in the case for graphics card cooling.

Disassemble the whole thing and redo the tubing you could put it anywhere you want.

The block is copper, it is plated to give it the nice finish. As for the barbs I don't think they are replaceable on the rad, I know they are not on the pump and block.

It's hard to tell, but they are soldered to the block.

No need to replace the barbs, the stock size would work just fine for cooling video or CPU's.................. I'm only using 3/8" tubing on my video card loop and it keeps my 8800gt to a nice and cool 35c under max load testing........... I'm running basicly the same type of loop as what the Coolit Pure is, single 120 radiator, small pump, a rez and the block.

My old Corsair Hydrocool 200 unit used just 1/4" inside diameter hoses and I looped that from the CPU to the chipset back in the hot Prescott days!

Ya, I'm not sure I'm sold on this unit as there are a few things I don't care for as mentioned above. It doesn't look too secure with those barbs.

You get 35c under load Bio? LoL I get 44 at idle.

[offtopic] i cant wait until newegg has some decent stock of Swiftech products, then im gonna get a 2x120mm rad and a gpu block. ive been forced to run at stock speeds with the stock cooler because the fan is way to loud. after that all ill need to make a great water cooling loop (as opposed to the pos i have now) is a swifty pump and either a dtek fuzion block or a swifty apogee gtx [/offtopic]
now for the cooler, from the picture at the top of the thread it looks like the pump is blocking air to the rad? is it just the angle of the picture :?
