I just installed it and it's reading 64 on one core @ 52% (F@H running) and 42 on the other @ 12%. EasyTune5 HW monitor is showing CPU @ 48. Checking the heatsink, it's not exactly cool to the touch but it's not necessarily hot either. Air from the cpu fan is cool. I'd think at 64, I'd see some degradation in performance or something odd at least. I don't know which one to believe.

Re: How accurate is coretemp 99?
Core Temp gives inaccurate readings with certain revisions of AMD 65nm CPUs(they are listed in the readme file). Works great on my Intel, but shows my fiancees AMD at 10c all the time. So if your processor is one of those listed that may be where the discrepancy lies. Otherwise, it could just be that the two programs are both accurately reporting different temperatures.

Re: How accurate is coretemp 99?
RTFM?!?!? When should I do that?!?!?
Thanks. Mine is a 95nm/65W and there wasn't a comprehensive list for XP though there is one for Vista. But at least there's a good chance now that it's simply inaccurate. The temp of my heatsink and what the app is showing just don't match IMO.
Thanks a lot!!!
