Help with my next Wii Game

Post by bigblockmatt »

So, i need a new game for the Wii. I have mario kart - Lots of fun but after unlocking prettymuch everything, it is kinda old. I have Olympics - fun and done. I just got NHL 2009 (hockey fan here!!) -- it is fun, but hard on the hardest setting. big learning curve. not very good game to just 'pick up and play'.

What i am looking for in the game:
- 4 players playing together
- easy to play, can pick it up and just start playing
- will last me a while.

If you guys have any suggestions, please offer them up.

I would suggest Guitar Hero World Tour. It's just like Rock Band. You get 4 people together, 1 on the mic singing, 1 playing guitar, 1 on bass and 1 on drums.

You'll be surprised how fun it is with a group of people. Even on the easiest setting.

Yeah, Smash Brothers Brawl is awesome. That would be the first game I would get, especially for multiple players. My friend had the GC Smash Brothers, and his 5 year old sister could even play.

In Brawl though you don't move the wii controller at all, so it's actually easier to just use a GC controller. Look on Ebay, I bought a 4-pack for $30 including shipping
Intel E8500 @ 4.0GHz
4GB(2 x 2GB) DDR2 800MHz
EVGA 750i SLI FTW
Seagate 7200.11 500GB HD
EVGA GTX 260 55nm
Antec 630 watt PSU
Samsung 22x DVD/+/-RW Burner
Antec p182 Case

We got Deca Sports and Game Party since the wife started having monthly wii parties :) For our own games we both LOVE the lego games - Batman, Indiana, Star Wars! I still have Mario Galaxy, but never even put it in yet..lol

We like the deca sports and game party games because they were cheap and some are up to the 4 players we were looking for also :)

Oh and Mario Super Sluggers SUX - I am glad I had a free rental coupon for blockbuster so I didnt waste any money on that piece of crap!

I myself am looking to find a good 4 player tennis or baseball game that you actually use the controller as a bat, etc. I hate those games that you push a button and flick your wrist to swing a bat or whatever! I am all for using the wiimote as the device for sports games, not as a dumb controller! Now Lego has a NICE control feature, expecially with Batman, since you use the wiimote to move the batarang target around.

Mike

people still see mto like the Wii Sports game...go figure.

We had 4 people playing that - it was great!! I still wish I could find a better tennis game for 4 people though.

Mike

I like the baseball too
