AMD Phenom II X4 Processor Breaks 5GHz on LN2

AMD recently invited some key members of the press down to their Austin, Texas headquarters to take a look at Phenom II. This processor has been known under the code name ‘Deneb’ for many months now, but Phenom II is what the processor will be launched at. While we were at AMD they showed off overclocking performance of the Phenom II X4 processor and you'll be shocked to see what they hit.

sorry for the difference... AMD Is limiting what we can say about the processor right now... What you saw before I edited this thread was correct though.

Impressive, AMD might be back in the game or at least reclaim some of their lost honor.

That would be great. It's like Rocky3 where he is getting his ass handed to him by Mr. T and now against the ropes AMD is coming back hitting hard only I should say its more like an eight year old going against Clubber Lang. I would love to see AMD kick Intel HARD with a chip that blows the doors off anything Intel.

At least it wasn't a Star Wars metaphor

I'm pretty intrigued by what AMD has up their sleeve, I'd love to see some competition again.
