Post by Apoptosis »

The Palit Revolution 700 Deluxe graphics card is a one off Radeon HD 4870 X2 that features dual GPUs with a pre-overclocked core and memory speed, and 2GB of GDDR5 memory. With 2.4 teraFLOPS of graphics horsepower and 1,600 stream processors the Palit Revolution 700 Deluxe might just be the most powerful graphics weapon for gamers on the planet today. Read on to see what makes this card different and to see if it should be in your next gaming system.

"The PaLiT Revolution 700 Radeon HD 4870 X2 Video is vastly superior to the reference design in thermal performance. Currently, nearly all the other HD 4870 X2 cards sold are reference designs so the Revolution 700 won't have much in the way of competition. If you are looking for a single card with no thoughts of CrossFire, the Revolution 700 is a great option."

BUT, can it play doom 3 at 1024 x 768? On ULTRA? lol. I have to admit, AMD is still kicking, even if it's not with their cpus, their GPUs seem to be one step ahead on Nvidia. I'm very glad that they are running a good competition for GPUs since it keeps the price low and performance high.

A damn nice card but it would block all but one of my SATA ports. The 9600GT sonic edition blocks two as it is.
AMD 960T OC'ed to 4gz
ASRock 970 EXTREME4 AM3+ AMD 970
2 X G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)(16gb)
EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2682-KR GeForce GTX 680 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16

HAHA! I hate the idea of 3 slot cards too!

Will 90 degree angled sata connectors work?

Instead of sata we need a wireless transfer that is faster. How sick would that be. Be able to use a GPU that covers all 4 of my x16 slots and sata ports. But, being that it has wifi inside the case. You could run power to your dvd drives, hard drives and card readers, and it communicates wirelessly to your board. Because if the things get any bigger we will need this.

that is completley unrealistic and will never happen. why do you think enterprise backbones still all run on wired? everything that can be wired should be wired

Not to jump on the smackdown bandwagon, but imagine all the extra latency that it would generate :vom:

Nope the 90 degree ones are too high and once you have one of those you block at least one connector. The card is just too big for my system board.
