I just noticed that MSI's Big Bang Fuzion motherboard with the Lucid Hydra 200 chip is in-stock and available at Newegg.com for $369.99.
The MSI Big Bang Trinergy motherboard doesn't have the Lucid Hydra 200 chip, but used the Intel P55 Chipset and an NVIDIA NF200 'bridge chip' for 'improved' multi-GPU performance. This board retails for $329.99 plus nearly $10 for shipping.
If you want the motherboard that features Lucid's Hydra 200 chip that allows graphics card mixing between different brands, manufacturers and models then you will need to hand over $369.99 plus $10 for shipping. For that price you would expect a board with all the bells and whistles, but since the board has been in development for so long and has come to market late it is missing key features like USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps. If you are going to spend $380 on an Intel P55 motherboard you might as well get one with all the features. You can pick up a motherboard like the Gigabyte P55A-UD3 for $135 and run CrossFire and SLI plus have cutting edge features like USB 3.0 and SATA 6GBps. The $245 you saved makes us question the value of the these first generation Lucid Hydra 200 boards.
