Koolance CPU-LN2 Rev2 Liquid Nitrogen Pot Review

Today we have the exclusive first look of the Koolance CPU-LN2 Rev 2. This is the second generation "DIY" processor evaporator pot for liquid nitrogen or dry ice cooling by Koolance. This pot has a nickel-plated solid copper cold plate that has a black acetal upper container. Read on if this pot does better than the original that we looked at in the summer of 2009!

Liquid nitrogen performance on the Koolance CPU-LN2 Rev2 Pot is so far improved that it is surprising the Rev1 and Rev2 came from the same company. The rather radical change in design is responsible for this excellent LN2 performance and with a few more tweaks will really fly with heavy loads. Intel's upcoming Gulftown hex-core processors have already been shown to run hotter than current Bloomfield quad-core processors but I feel the CPU-LN2 Rev2 will easily handle upcoming Intel six-core Gulftown processors.

I said it before and I'll say it again, thank you. While I have no plans at extreme overclocking I do appreciate the article. Most sites steer clear of these products because they don't know how to test them. Thank you for taking the time to write the article.

np, was a fun toy to play with. Have another round of testing on Core i5 later next week, I'll post a few videos/pictures in this thread. Mainly pulldown/pullup and load testing with a full pot of LN2.

Awesome review! Looks like a great alternative to the much more expensive F1EE pot :)

when i do go into DICE(or somehow get my hands on LN2) it looks like i'll prolly jump for a Koolance Pot 8)
