Any plans for a followup with the high performing TIM on the stock heatsink? If it can drop the temps by 12 degrees Celsius then that's impressive.

That'd be interesting to see. Maybe it's time for another TIM roundup?Major_A wrote:Any plans for a followup with the high performing TIM on the stock heatsink? If it can drop the temps by 12 degrees Celsius then that's impressive.
Also, if the stock TIM sucks so much, why include it with a product that is supposed to be "great"!?! It'll make their cooler look/perform worse than it really is/can.

I didn't use the G2 compound that come with the cooler but the Arctic Silver Lumiere I use to test all the coolers, so don't know what the G2 will be like compared to the GC Extreme. They could be close, dunno.
As for putting the GC Extreme on the stock cooler?? might try that. Will have to get some new thermal pad material though, dont have any around, not even sure what the thickness of the stock stuff is. Have to get back to you on that one.
